About our planning library
Editorial standards and sources
Useful hunt planning starts with clear questions, traceable sources, and an honest description of what is known.
Who publishes these resources
BCHunter publishes the public planning library. The business is owned by Jen Vasile, a hunt booking agent for more than 20 years. An article credited to BCHunter is organizational guidance; it does not imply that a named person personally wrote or reviewed every sentence.
Planning advice and official requirements
Our checklists help readers compare trips, ask questions, and prepare. For regulations and licensing, we link to the relevant authority. The current official source takes precedence over our summaries. Requirements can vary with residency, destination, species, and dates.
Our source directory records the date links were checked and notes retrieval problems. A link check is not a legal review or a guarantee that a linked page has the latest edition.
Quotes, availability, and outcomes
Generic public planning articles do not establish a current outfitter price, available departure, or guaranteed hunting outcome. Get a dated quote and written confirmation directly from the operator before booking. We do not present invented client stories, reviews, success rates, or package prices as evidence.
Public resources and Insider
The public library is free to read without an account. Insider is BCHunter's separate paid research and planning service. The public library does not reproduce its private outfitter records, individual hunt opportunities, or member-only research.
Updates and corrections
Article publication dates describe when the article was published. When substantive guidance changes, its modification date should change too. We do not refresh dates solely to make an old article appear new.
To report an error or broken source, contact BCHunter with the page URL, the passage in question, and a source or explanation. Questions about a particular booking should also go to the operator responsible for that trip.
